Overview

The purpose of this role is to manage the individual cargo flight planning / troubleshooting as well as the day-to-day operations activities of the Cargo Department. This role serves as a bridge way between Air Arabia, Fly Arna Cargo and GHA in Armenia to ensure a better level of service is provided to the customers. This role will also support the commercial team to achieve and exceed the budgeted yearly revenue target set for Air Arabia, Fly Arna Cargo.

Responsibilities:


- Manage daily cargo booking profile, messaging, Tracing, preparation of load plan and rebooking of offloaded space.
- Monitor and compare performance against the prescribed handling service indicators.
- Identify gaps in performance and implement solutions to maintain and deliver full conformance and premium levels of handling service.
- Managing day to day Courier/Cargo operation on Air Arabia and Fly Arna.
- Coordinate Interline cargo transfers.
- Provide technical inputs on SGHA Contracts.
- Coordinate with out-station GHA’s and trouble shoot day to day discrepancies.
- Maintain discrepancy logbook and initiate corrective measures.
- Trigger incident reports and ensure incident report compliance reporting from the HUB.
- Ensuring maximum utilization of cargo belly capacity, in order to maximize revenue.
- Coordinate with GHAs to ensure correct handling of valuables, perishables, Human Remains, Diplomatic mail and other special cargoes.
- Coordinate regular checks in the warehouse, to ascertain in cargo have not been short shipped.
- Ensure Cargo reservations and space control functions correctly performed.
- Post-flight information and tracing service provided for cargo shippers.
- Shippers are promptly advised of any “non-deliveries”.
- Correct priority is given to cargo shipment in consultation with commercial team.
- Notify of any local customs/government regulations liable to effect services.
- Adhere to all safety and security policy measures.
- Facilitate damaged cargo examination for agent / importers.
- Monitor cargo loading / off loading at aircraft side and take action if cargo is offloaded from the aircraft due space.
- Monitor documentation for cargo/mail/diplomatic mail is delivered collected from/to aircraft from/to appropriate authorities.
- Maintain necessary station records.
- To generally represent Air Arabia’s, Fly Arna’s interest when dealing with handling agents & airlines locally.
- Coordinate with service providers to ensure all EDI messages are triggered which is required for updating Cargo system and in line with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure cargo system is fully complied on operational front and ensure that there is no un-booked shipments.
- Identify and implement ‘quick fix’ solutions where appropriate, for urgent problems that may arise from Cargo service to public

Required Qualifications:


- Should have experience in air cargo, self-correspondence, knowledge in computer with all the important applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
- Fluent in Armenian, Russian and English language
- 3+ years working experience in cargo sales and customer service, at least 1 of which in the airline industry in a similar role
- Knowledgeable in all IATA/ TACT regulations
- Proven skills in establishing/ capitalizing on customer relations and building rapport
- Proven skills in analyzing data, identifying issues, and recommending effective solutions
- Possesses effective, persuasive, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to use a balance of technical expertise, and interpersonal relations to execute new initiatives that support company’s objectives
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against business strategy and set KPIs
- Experience in using cargo system will be an advantage
