Children of Armenia Charitable Fund is looking for a COAF SMART Rooms Mathematics Instructor.

Responsibilities:

YOUR TEAM 

You will be joining the SMART Rooms team (by a Service provision contract) in Mets Ayrum (Lori region), Koti, Aygehovit, Vazashen (Tavush region) and will work under the leadership of SMART Rooms Coordinator.

YOU WILL PERFORM THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS 

  • Develop curriculum and lesson plans for the Math program to strengthen mathematical and logical thinking. Duration of the course: 4 semesters 14 weeks each, frequency: twice a week
  • Facilitate the classes based on the curriculum and lesson plans for 4-6 grade students. Group size: max. 15 students
  • Collaborate with instructors in other communities, share professional experience
  • Participate in COAF-initiated thematic training and network with the rest of COAF program instructors
  • Strongly promote students’ participation in thematic contests, olympiads
  • Full usage of IT equipment and possibilities available in SMART rooms

YOU SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Higher education or specialized training in Mathematics
  • Teaching experience in Mathematics-related fields /formal or non-formal/ 
  • Skills and ability to work with children and to motivate them
  • Smooth spoken and writing skills in Armenian, good knowledge of English and Russian will be considered an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong IT skills 
  • High sense of responsibility
