Overview

Data Protection Officer is expected to assist with the implementation, management, and monitoring of the data privacy and protection strategy and the participate in creation and roll-out of policies, guidelines, and data protection awareness training.

Responsibilities:


- Create, deploy and maintain data security framework and make recommendations for enhancing existing data systems security
- Manage security tools such as DLP, UAM, PAM, 2FA, and other access or data security related solutions
- Researching attempted breaches of data security and rectifying security weaknesses
- Monitoring compliance with the applicable data protection laws
- Ensure that all information Assets are classified & access is granted according to Access Control & Authentication Policy
- Periodical reviews of user access to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive information
- Consultancy on Access Governance queries

Required Qualifications:


- Bachelor (undergraduate) degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Software Engineer, Security, or others) OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Familiarity with compliance & data security standards across the enterprise IT on-prem and cloud infrastructure and their implications on IT architecture
- Strong data-driven decision making and analytical skills
- Previous experience with data security management tools
