Database Administrator

- Install and maintain the performance of database servers
- Design, implement, and manage a multi-region, multi-cloud database architecture to ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and global scalability using cloud-based database systems across various platforms like AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Mongo Atlas, etc
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of database solutions in the cloud
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and updates, data migration, replication, and synchronization across regions and cloud platforms
- Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies to maintain data integrity and availability
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize in-cloud database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques
- Configure and maintain database security features in compliance with company and industry best practices
- Monitor cloud databases for performance bottlenecks and conduct performance tuning
- Keep abreast of emerging cloud database technologies and strategies
- Collaborate with other cloud professionals to ensure seamless integration of databse resources
- Document cloud database configurations, architectures, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with data sovereignty laws and regulations across multiple regions

- University degree in computer science or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
- Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
- Extensive experience with high-load, always-on databases, ensuring optimal performance and uptime during peak business operations
- Work Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud infrastructure
- Up-to-date with trends and developments in database administration
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills
- Strong command of verbal and written English
- Knowledge and experience in the field (iGaming) is a plus
- Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
