Overview
– Experience building CI/CD pipelines using eg. Gitlab CI
– Experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Cloud Deployment Manager
– Experience with creating developer tooling (Slack bots, local development environments etc)
– Experience with GCP
– Experience working with database engines such as MySQL, MongoDB
– Experience with Hashicorp Vault or other secrets management approaches
- Champion “Production Quality” and create cutting-edge cloud database infrastructure through developing automation
- Build and improve different tooling ranging from administration tasks to DR automation to developer helpers
- Lead and participate in technical discussions to aid system design, analysis, and troubleshooting
- Help engineering teams to develop, test, debug, and release scalable, resilient and highly available cloud-native applications quickly
- Offer expert-level knowledge during incidents or other special events when on call.
- Ability to write clean code in at least one language (i.e Python, Golang, NodeJS, Bash, etc.)
- Holds BSc in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline and experience is desired.
- Exposure or familiarity with the Linux Operating system
- Experience in supporting critical database systems
- Good knowledge and interest in Cloud computing concepts and solutions including public, private, and hybrid cloud.
- Experience with at least one of the predominant public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Hands-on experiences with container technologies, like Docker runtime and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Excellent organizational, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to write clear technical documentation.
- Good grasp of database monitoring and alerting
