Overview

Amber Capital Armenia is looking for an Investment Analyst to join a small team working in a fast-paced and highly interesting environment. Apart from the requirements listed below, the ideal candidate will be an outgoing individual with a positive attitude, ability to perform under pressure and experience in working in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities:

The Investment Analyst shall, under the supervision of the Investment team, engage in the following activities:
- Prepare financial models for the purposes of projecting company performance and running a discounted cash flow valuation exercise
- Analyse investment opportunities and make recommendations for next steps
- Conduct research and analysis of various sectors, including market development trends, macroeconomic assessment, identification of the competitive landscape
- Compile macroeconomic and sectoral data and input the information in relevant databases
- Prepare internal memorandums and presentations intended for internal and external audiences
- Participate in internal and external calls and meetings, prepare call notes and meeting minutes
- Assist in deal execution, including liaising with external service providers
- Take part in performance monitoring of the portfolio companies
- Assist in other tasks as required by the investment team on an ad hoc basis

Required Qualifications:


- Higher education in finance, accounting or a related field
- 2-5 years of work experience in finance, investment research, audit or a similar field
- Practical understanding of corporate finance and valuation concepts
- Full fluency in Armenian and English, at least working proficiency in Russian
- Ability to compose and/or proofread documents and reports with close attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with a variety of groups and individuals with different nationalities
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Relevant qualifications such as ACCA or CFA are a plus
