Overview
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure planning, testing, and development
- Take the lead of the OPS function, grow and develop the systems and individuals within the practice
- Automation implementation, maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Continuous work on creating best practices and knowledge sharing
- Ensuring security
- Maintaining production systems - monitoring, troubleshooting, resolving outages, fine-tuning
Required Qualifications:
- Min 10 years of overall industry experience (as a software developer, system administrator, or some mix)
- BS in CS, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study
- Relevant industry certificates (AWS, Kubernetes) are desirable
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with a high degree of collaboration and influence
- Linux server administration experience
- Software development experience, including strong source control systems (git) experience
- Container orchestration experience, including strong Kubernetes skills
- Experience implementing and configuring monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Loki, Grafana)
- Experience working with cloud-hosting providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, ..)
- Security standards experience
- Automation experience
- Strong TCP/IP networking skills incl. in-depth knowledge of DNS, SMTP, HTTP(S), and SSH protocols
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, along with being hands-on to design and execute projects from concept to completion, including organizing, prioritizing and measuring results
- Leadership (both internal and external). Ability to liaise effectively across stakeholders, from client’s top-management to technical and commercial teams to third-party vendors
- Being used to working in Scrum teams, with a bit of knowledge from Kanban and SAFe. However, never let the process paralyze you
- Fluency in English both written and oral
- Openness for frequent short- and long-term travel internationally, to meet team members, clients, etc
