“The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Delegation in Armenia” is looking for a “Logistician/Dispatcher”.


The Logistician/Dispatcher will be responsible for ensuring proper filing for supply-chain activities as well as proper organization of vehicles’ fleet and assignments of drivers in line with the ICRC rules and regulations.  

  • Organizes and plans drivers' duties and assignments; dispatches the assigned vehicles; prepares movement plan on a daily/weekly basis
  • Participates in purchase planning, purchase orders, request orders, import-export activities and statistics
  • Follows-up for financial and administrative procedures related to logistics
  • Negotiates, arranges and prepares logistics-related contracts
  • Monitors and records vehicle use and fuel consumption
  • Keeps tracks of all vehicle movements using ICRC respective tools
  • Checks that trip related forms are filed acurately and that log books are filled out
  • Analyses and mitigates risks (vehicle looting and safety hazards) in dangerous locations
  • Coaches and trains drivers upon need and any specific requirements
  • Ensures that the fleet is used in a rational manner, takes all necessary steps to implement the ICRC’s security rules

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • Driving license B  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar field of activity
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English, Armenian, Russian would be viewed as an asset
  • Good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of the geographically assigned area
  • Accurate, highly responsible personality, effective at multi-tasking
  • Good communication, organizational and judgment skills
  • Ability to take initiative, to lead and deal with people
