Overview

Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities are divided into three main performance objectives: 

  1. Develop, research and reform strategies for the HTI sector;
  2. Increase Armenia's rating in the international market as a tech hub;
  3. Support, develop and create a solid foundation for the cooperation between and within the teams.
     

First objective: Develop research and reform strategies for the HTI sector.

Typical responsibilities are:

  • Conduct research in the field of HTI in Armenia, aimed at identifying the potential of existing organizations, their development in the international market and the processes of expanding new markets;
  • Follow the changes in the HTI market development, carry out internal-external market studies, make relevant forecasts, develop strategic reform steps;
  • Implement monitoring mechanisms, analysis for key indicators of the sector, while  compiling regular reports;
  • Based on the different researches create, develop, support active cooperation between local and international representatives and structures.
     

Second objective: Increase Armenia's rating in the international market as a tech hub.

Typical responsibilities are:

  • Develop an international exhibition platform related to the HTI sector, introducing standards, strategic steps, mechanisms for effective participation in such exhibitions for the best presentation of industry/industry representatives;
  • Discover opportunities to participate in international conferences, coordinate and ensure the involvement of local companies, helping to increase their awareness in the international market;
  • Take strategic reform steps as a result of the study, promoting the position of the Armenian HTI sector on the world HTI map;
  • Connect international and local companies, coordinate, promote their cooperation, increase the number of investment programs and raise Armenian companies' competitiveness index.
     

Third objective: Support, develop and create a solid foundation for the cooperation between and within the teams.

Typical responsibilities are:

  • Facilitate the submission process of employees’ suggestions;
  • Analyze research data conducted by market development staff, coordinate and develop new strategic steps;
  • If necessary, assist and monitor the work of partners in order to identify and solve problems;
  • If necessary, organize appropriate training, development programs;
  • Support the cooperative-systemic nature of the work of all interconnected circles.
     

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Higher education in Economics, International Relations, Engineering, Social and related Sciences;
  • At least seven years of professional experience, preferably in international or Government organizations, in the field of Economics or International Relations;
  • Working experience in senior management, strategic thinking;
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Armenian, English and Russian;
  • Experience in a leading position in High-Tech will be viewed as an advantage;
  • Mastery of quantitative-qualitative research methodology, research experience;
  • Strong leadership skills;
  • Ability to solve problems quickly;
  • Negotiation skills;
  • Public speaking skills.
