Overview
Responsibilities:
- Technical oversite of the development team, to ensure projects are delivered on spec, on time and on budget;
- Ensure the security and performance of the platforms, which will also include managing the Dev Ops team’s work;
- Manage the budget and forward projection of all development costs and other associated costs, providing regular updates to the client;
- Written and verbal reporting on a timely and regular basis;
- Manage all external IT vendor relationships associated with the client’s Platforms e.g. Microsoft, Global Relay, r3 and Okta;
- Identify, evaluate and implement appropriate technologies;
- Provide holiday cover and busy period support to the client’s in-house IT support manager.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical managerial experience (including cloud, blockchain and security);
- 5+ years in a technology role;
- Likely to have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field;
- Excellent communication skills, especially written and verbal English;
- Strong track record of delivery;
- Hands on approach;
- Organizational and leadership skills – able to prioritize and delegate effectively;
- Department management skills, including budgets, planning, and managing of external suppliers;
- Innovation and vision - able to follow and assess tech trends;
- Managing application development, including teams of up to 35 people;
- Comfortable working in a trading or marketing environment;
- Strong awareness of security;
- Pragmatic problem solver - solution / results oriented.
