Overview

Our client, headquartered in California, is a leading player in the market for UCaaS services and cloud solutions. The client’s key product allows to build an end-to-end communication system (telephony, video conferences, chat rooms, file sharing, and management).
Our client’s information security team is seeking a talented Security Engineer who has a nagging passion for digging through data to find the anomalies, root out the sources, determine bad actors, recommend corrective actions, and help drive remediation efforts in other parts of the organization.

Responsibilities:


- Monitoring of Security Alerts and Notifications
- Triage SIEM (or other tools) events and determine possible incidents
- Address escalations from Internal Employees or Customers
- Respond to incidents and document findings, work to determine the root cause
- Create new IOCs for monitoring future similar events
- Assist with Security Reviews for Infrastructure and Systems Changes
- Help drive Security initiatives, and Security Team goals for the year
- Help build and maintain our internal Security Team tools and script repos
- Create meaningful and thorough documentation
- Participate in the on-call rotation for the Security Operations Team

Required Qualifications:


- 2+ years of relevant work experience in a security engineering role
- Strong Operating System experience with different versions of Windows & Linux
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, PowerShell, BASH)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and network services
- AWS / GCP / Azure Experience Required
- Solid understanding of Virtualization architecture and security
- Knowledge in at least one of the following areas: 1) Penetration testing: attack methods and technics against heterogeneous networks; 2) Digital forensics: network, hard disk, memory; 3) Threat hunting: researching events, building indicators, adjusting SEIM
- Strong organizational, operational, and process capabilities
- Strong understanding of security principles, best practices, and tools
- Good written and spoken English
