Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out all necessary research and in-depth analysis to resolve issues within the specified SLAs
  • Assign/escalate technical issues to appropriate parties, involve appropriate resources for issue resolution
  • Monitor and administrate production systems on daily basis
  • Maintain ownership until resolution of technical issue
  • Respond immediately to security or usability issues
  • Assist all internal customers/employees by providing production support
  • Perform tests on all installation processes for production infrastructure
  • Cooperate with IT department, developers and external vendors to ensure effective application services and reliability of all applications
  • Make recommendations and perform daily production support tasks’ automation
  • Develop system administration guidelines, procedures and policies
  • Evaluate production support processes and participate in process improvements
  • Prioritize workload, provide timely and accurate resolutions
  • Develop and setup internal and external monitoring for production systems
  • Manage Web servers, SSL and DNS configuration
  • Participate in periodic on-call duties

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical background, graduate degree in relevant field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in installing, managing and monitoring complex network infrastructures that include one or more of the following: Linux Servers, Windows Servers, Web Servers, Monitoring Tools
  • Full understanding of all steps of clients and servers’ architectures
  • Full understanding and experience with the OSI model and/or TCP/IP stack
  • Solid working knowledge of IP Networking, including DNS, Virtualization, Cloud, switches, and routers
  • Solid knowledge of at least one of the scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
  • Solid working knowledge of WAF services like Cloudflare, Incapsula etc.
  • Full understanding public and local DNS workflow, Reverse Proxies and Load balancing.
  • Experience in managing mission-critical globally distributed setup while concurrently serving large user base of internal and external users
  • Understanding of servers and network performance using monitoring and troubleshooting tools and techniques
  • Good knowledge of English and Russian languages
  • Ability to work under high pressure and meet deadlines
