• Lead the Challenges team and work together on a day-to-day basis to provide feedback, guide and motivate as well as cultivate relationships across teams to identify and solve issues;
  • Leverage data and other inputs to program a strategic global Challenges calendar to solidify our leadership in this space;
  • Monitor visual and design trends globally to inform and guide global strategy;
  • Lead experiments involving different Challenge formats and types to help scale and diversify the Challenge product; 
  • Gather relevant information to create and articulate strategy to reach Challenges’ KPIs;
  • Identify and push for key product features, improvements and efficiencies, both internal and user-facing, that will positively impact user engagement and activity;
  • Work cross-functionally on multi-faceted Marketing campaigns, including feature launches and brand partnerships;
  • Work across time zones with stakeholders and leads from Marketing, Data, Product, Partnerships and Content as needed to provide relevant feedback on Challenge tools and services and serve as an advocate for user needs;
  • Create digestible, easy-to-read data-driven performance reports on Challenges for the Organization; 
  • Create customized and fun descriptions for every in app Challenge.

Required Qualifications:

  • BA degree in Social Development, Communications, Marketing or another related field is a plus;
  • At least 2 years experience in developing and executing engagement and retention campaigns and/or building and growing online communities/community management, preferably in the entertainment, media or consumer Internet industry;
  • Experience in working with legal teams on TOS, privacy policies and DMCA issues;
  • Experience in managing internal teams; 
  • Experience in driving product changes to improve both internal and user-facing workflows and site experience;
  • Strong ability to multitask, problem solve and adapt quickly in a fast paced environment;
  • Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly while balancing various projects and priorities; 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management;
  • Ability to read and understand data sets to derive actionable intelligence or meaningful insights;
  • Familiarity with content programming is a plus; 
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing tools (e.g. Braze, Iterable, etc.) is a plus;
  • Passion for the arts and design, online communities, social websites and global pop culture;
  • Comfortable working both collaboratively and independently;
  • Native English speaker;
  • Written and verbal knowledge of at least one other language is a plus.
