Overview
Ameriabank CJSC is looking for a Lawyer, Corporate Governance Division.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review and improve the Bank’s internal legal regulations, documents of legal nature and templates, including template agreements, applications and forms
- Review and draft legal documents related to particular cases
- Review and amend legal documents related to the bank’s correspondent relations
- Provide legal service and advice with respect to depositary services, securities and investment projects
- Review legislation changes and notify the respective teams of the bank about them
- Review the draft laws, provide analysis, recommendations and opinion
- Participate in the processes of improvement of legislative gaps or regulations
- Provide legal advice regarding client servicing, including the bank’s functions and legal relations between the bank and the client
- Review government programs, draft banking-related documents
- Represent the bank in government and non-government organizations, participate in discussion of issues related to the lawful rights and interests of the bank, present the bank’s position regarding those issues
- Communicate (verbally and in writing) with the Central Bank of Armenia and other government bodies regarding issues of legal nature, present information in the manner defined by the laws and regulations of the Republic of Armenia and perform registration
- Make improvements in the Bank’s processes or documents based on the legislative changes or observational data
- Draft agreements and other documents related to civil, legal and labor issues, review the documents subject to signing
- Provide legal service/advice with respect to the bank’s projects, draft documents
- Review the legal processes implemented in the bank
- Review the information of legal nature subject to publishing
- Perform other duties defined under internal regulations of the Bank
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in law
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant domain (a lawyer experience in the financial and banking sector will be considered a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Excellent knowledge and practical skills in application of the Republic of Armenia civil legislation, Civil Procedure Code, Administrative Procedure Code and banking legislation, as well as other related bylaws
- Excellent command of Armenian, Russian and English
- Communication skills and courteous manners
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to make decisions quickly and handle stressful situations
- Ability to work under pressure and resolve complicated issues; self-disciplined
