“MÉDECINS DU MONDE” Association – Representation in Armenia is looking for a Medical Officer in Goris.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervising triage
  • Creating, updating, and monitoring patient and service user cases
  • Carrying out consultations, referring for medical treatment
  • Applying protocols and procedures
  • Advising, monitoring, and providing information to patients/users
  • Organising and following-up patient/user referrals
  • Reporting information and observations to members of the medical and social teams
  • Leading continuous training and training activities on healthcare protocols and practices for healthcare and/or MdM community staff and/or partners
  • Facilitating health education sessions for partners, patients/users, community workers, etc. for MdM and/or our partners
  • Collecting data and draft activity reports
  • Contributing to representing MdM with partners and health authorities
Required Qualifications:
  • To have a general understanding on the international medical standards relating to medical care, hygiene, asepsis, vaccination and nutrition,
  • Note symptoms, signs, identify the patient’s living environment, conduct a clinical examination, and identify clinical needs
  • Work in a team
  • Write professional reports, collect, and analyse data, organise, classify, and communicate information
Identify training needs, create, and lead training modules
  • Organise activities
  • Implement health training and education activities
  • Adapt communication to the audience
  • Know how to approach a cultural and social context. Identify and understand a society’s norms, customs, and practices
