Role description:
Evoca is looking for a Manual QA Engineer who will be responsible for take ownership of manual testing processes, lead test planning efforts, and ensure product quality across our applications. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify issues and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

• review and analyze business requirements and technical specifications to create detailed test plans and test cases;
• execute manual testing of software applications, ensuring adherence to functional, technical, and design specifications;
• perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT);
• identify, report, and track bugs and issues using a bug tracking system (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla);
• collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand product functionality and provide feedback;
• re-test and validate bug fixes and enhancements to ensure the issues are resolved;
• perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility and a consistent user experience;
• ensure that the software meets quality standards before release;
• maintain and update test documentation and test cases;
• participate in team meetings, providing updates and recommendations for product improvement;
• ensure proper logging, prioritization, and resolution of defects within the software.
• bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience);
• proven experience as a Manual QA Tester, Software Tester, or similar role;
• strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes;
• experience writing detailed and comprehensive test cases and test plans;
• familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla);
• ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and effectively;
• good problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail;
• knowledge of basic SQL for data validation;
• understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies;
• strong organizational and time-management skills;
• ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
• experience with performance testing and security testing is a plus;
• familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete) is a bonus, although manual testing will be the focus of the role;
• previous experience in fintech, is a plus.
