Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Create high quality, expressive character animations for games, promotional videos, and interactive experiences across the company's platforms
  • Animate humanoid and stylized characters, creatures, and facial expressions based on storyboards, motion capture data, or creative briefs
  • Collaborate with 3D artists, riggers, game designers, and developers to ensure character animations are smoothly integrated into real-time environments
  • Apply a deep understanding of animation principles (timing, weight, anticipation, exaggeration, etc.) to deliver lifelike or stylized movement
  • Refine and polish animations based on feedback, maintaining consistency with the character’s personality, visual style, and gameplay mechanics
  • Support the development of animation libraries and reusable motion cycles to streamline future production
  • Optimize animations for performance across real-time rendering engines (Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in 3D character animation, preferably in the gaming or digital entertainment industry
  • Proficiency in 3D animation tools such as Autodesk Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
  • Strong understanding of human and creature anatomy, body mechanics, and character performance
  • Experience working with rigged models and collaborating closely with rigging and modeling teams
  • Familiarity with motion capture data clean up and retargeting workflows is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and in teams to deliver animation content on time and to spec
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, creative production environment
