Overview

We are looking for a creative 3D Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating 3D assets, environments, animations, and visual effects for a variety of applications such as films, video games, advertising, and architectural visualization.

Responsibilities:
  • Create high-quality 3D models of characters, props, environments, or architectural elements. Use software tools such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema4D, Houdini or Blender to develop detailed and accurate 3D assets based on reference materials or concept art
  • Apply textures, materials, and shaders to 3D models to achieve desired visual qualities. Understand the principles of UV mapping and texture painting to create realistic surfaces and achieve desired aesthetic effects
  • Set up virtual lighting environments to create visually appealing and realistic scenes. Understand lighting techniques, such as global illumination and HDR lighting, to enhance the mood and atmosphere of the 3D environment. Render the final scenes using software like V-Ray, Arnold, or RenderMan
  • Create character animations, object animations, or camera movements to bring 3D scenes to life. Understand the principles of animation, such as timing, keyframing, and easing, to create smooth and believable motion. Use animation software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema4d, or Blender to animate characters and objects
  • Create and integrate visual effects elements, such as particles, dynamics, simulations, or explosions, into 3D scenes. Use software tools like Houdini, FumeFX, or RealFlow to create dynamic and realistic effects
  • Combine rendered 3D elements with other visual elements, such as live-action footage or 2D graphics, using compositing software such as Adobe After Effects or Nuke. Perform color grading, layering, and other post-production tasks to achieve the desired final look
  • Work closely with the Art Director, video production unit manager, or project managers to understand project requirements, goals, and timelines. Collaborate with other team members, such as concept artists, 3d artists, and designers, to ensure seamless integration of assets and achieve project objectives
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and solve problems related to 3D production, such as optimizing assets for real-time rendering, managing complex scenes, or achieving desired visual effects.
Required Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Computer Animation, Visual effects, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a 3D generalist, with a strong portfolio demonstrating skills in modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and renderings
  • Proficiency in 3D software tools such as Autodesk Maya, 3dsMax, Cinema4D, Blender, or similar software
  • Knowledge of industry-standard rendering engines such as V-Ray, Arnold, Redshift or Octane
  • Strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, including modeling techniques, texturing, shading, lighting, and renderings
  • Experience with animation principles and techniques, including character rigging and keyframe animation
  • Familiarity with visual effects techniques, dynamics, and simulations
  • Knowledge of compositing software such as Adobe After Effects or Nuke
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within established design and style guidelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
