Overview

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Yerevan is looking for an Accountant.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the draft budget, annual inventory statements, balance sheets, financial reports as well as financial and statistical accounting data;
  • Prepare monthly trial balance, monthly match of bank accounts as well as daily matching accounts with petty cash fund and various accounts;
  • Follow up, collect, record and monitor the movement of revenues, taxes and debts. Audit, verify and check their compliance with accounting records and prepare necessary documents for making adjustment with authorized banks;
  • Control spending on expenditure items. Audit, document and follow-up expenses, payments, invoices, payment vouchers and adjustments. Prepare the monthly payroll and ensure their accuracy and compliance with financial laws and regulations;
  • Organize accounts and prepare accounting documents to validate, match and ensure their compliance. Perform and enter accounting entries and financial statements into the accounting system;
  • Prepare the salary payroll and the local staff entitlements to monthly transfer them to their bank accounts. Follow up staff's social security and health insurance and ensure compliance with laws of the host country;
  • Prepare local purchase orders concerning Mission's purchases and communicate with suppliers as directed by the Line Manager;
  • Prepare and make sure to match the fixed asset inventory with accounting books;
  • Follow-u files and contracts on tenancy, services, vehicles, maintenance, guard, insurance, and entitlements of diplomats, administrative officers and their families;
  • Monitor petty-cash and audit procedures of disbursement and annual inventory;
  • Prepare and submit all reports and documents requested by relevant organizational units in MoFAIC, in professional manner in accordance with adopted international accounting policies, regulations and standards;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
Required Qualifications:
  • University degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance;
  • Knowledge of MC office;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Proactivity and high sense of responsibility;
  • Advanced communication skills.
