Overview
The incumbent will engage with custom IC design customers to provide technical support, analyze design methodologies, identify training needs, and assist with the deployment and effective use of Siemens’ IC design, verification, and physical implementation solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with custom IC design customers to understand their technical support needs, analyze design methodologies, and identify training requirements.
- Provide technical support for IC design tools and their integration with Siemens simulation, verification, and P&R solutions.
- Work with account teams to develop deployment strategies for IC design, simulation, verification, and place-and-route (P&R) workflows.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to ensure successful product deployment and timely resolution of customer issues and enhancement requests.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and technical support cases.
- Investigate and troubleshoot software issues related to IC design tools, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions or workarounds.
- Document technical issues, solutions, and best practices to improve the internal and customer-facing knowledge base.
- Develop training materials, create instructional videos, and deliver webinars to educate customers on product features and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor design flows and custom IC physical design methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with one or more EDA tools such as Calibre DRC, Calibre LVS, or Aprisa is preferred.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Tcl, Python, Perl, or Shell) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional engineering teams.
