The British Embassy in Armenia is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic and consular interests overseas, and is now looking for a Corporate Services Assistant to join the Embassy team, based in Yerevan.

This is an opportunity to take on an important role in the British Embassy Yerevan. It calls for a person with excellent people skills, an ability to prioritise effectively, a flexible ‘can-do’ attitude an understanding of administrative work.

You will work closely and report to Corporate Services Manager and will engage with local contractors, teams in the UK and a number of our Regional Hubs.

Please note that this role includes time away from your desk when there is a need to attend to the practical elements of running an embassy.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a first point of contact for the purchases required for Corporate Services team and for the embassy, gather quotations if required;
  • Process local payments and purchases using credit cards, raise requisitions, file invoices and documents;
  • Manage office cash, submit monthly reconciliation report to Corporate Services Manager;
  • Provide support to Corporate Services team to organise the arrival and departure of UK diplomats and Corporate Services visitors, supervise contractors if required;
  • Work with telecommunication companies to order new sim cards or close existing ones;
  • Keep inventories for a small amount of items such as sim cards, keys and support Corporate Services team with furniture inventories; coordinate diplomatic mail and courier services;
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to the Corporate Services Manager.
Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience, including evidence of the work in administrative field and multitasking;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and spoken fluency in English and Armenian;
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively and flexibly in high pace environment;
  • A self-starter that can work well both individually and in a team;
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills;
  • Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook;

Desirable qualifications, skills and experience:
Driving licence.
