We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a flexible hybrid work environment focused on professional development and innovation. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, leveraging your German language skills to effectively communicate insights and foster a data-driven culture. Occasional business trips to Germany will be required to work directly with on-site teams. Client: Our client is a leading German retail company undergoing a major digital transformation across Central Europe. The company is expanding its Data & Analytics team, which builds a modern, multi-cloud, hybrid data platform enabling advanced reporting, analytics, and AI capabilities. Project Overview: The Data Analyst will support business units by delivering insightful, accurate, and timely data analysis and reports. This role works with the enterprise data platform to transform data into actionable business intelligence that drives decision-making and operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analyses using data from the enterprise platform.
- Translate business questions and requirements into clear analytical solutions.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business teams to improve data accessibility and usability.
- Support self-service analytics initiatives and train business users as needed.
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to German-speaking stakeholders.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and enterprise data platforms.
- Ability to work with large, structured and unstructured datasets.
- Proficient in German language (spoken and written).
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in retail or large enterprise environments.
- Basic understanding of data governance and metadata concepts.
- Experience supporting AI/ML projects with analytical insights.
