RWI is seeking candidates for a full-time (100 %) position as Finance Officer at its office in Yerevan, Armenia. The Finance Officer role is to manage the financial registration, reporting, follow-ups and forecasting, payroll administration and other finance related tasks. The Finance Officer reports to the Country Director at the RWI office in Yerevan.

Responsibilities:
Main duties and responsibilities of the position, to be carried out in accordance with relevant templates and guidelines:
  • Maintain and file records of expenditure, process invoices and claims for payments and track payments relating to office costs and programme activities;
  • Administer financial accounts and manage petty cash;
  • Register expenditures in RWI and relevant financial systems;
  • Prepare office budgets, financial forecasts and reports;
  • Assist relevant staff and partners with programme budgeting, monitoring and financial reporting;
  • Assist with procurement of goods and services as required;
  • Administer payroll for office staff in accordance with statutory requirements;
  • Prepare and submit statutory financial declarations;
  • Organise accounting process in accordance with RA Tax legislation, RA Labor Code and International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Prepare and submit tax reports to ensure compliance with all local and international regulations;
  • Periodic review of Legal and Tax legislation on recent changes/ adjustments;
  • Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
Required Qualifications:
The experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes required for satisfactory job performance:
  • Relevant college/university qualification;
  • Strong skills in preparing accurate financial reports and forecasts, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, local tax laws, and audit requirements;
  • Proven experience working with donor organisations, including USAID, EU, or other international organisation;
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing financial operations within the NGO sector, including familiarity with financial and regulatory frameworks;
  • Completion of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification;
  • Excellent computer skills, including with Microsoft Office;
  • Proficiency in using financial management software, particularly the ՀԾ (HTS) Armenian accounting program, ensuring efficient handling of accounting processes;
  • Hands on bookkeeping experience;
  • Fluency in English and Armenian;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with both finance and non-finance team members, donors, and other stakeholders;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing donor requirements and organisational needs;
  • Ability to plan own work, set priorities and complete under pressure with minimal supervision;
  • Flexible, proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a desire to continuously improve work performance;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment, supporting various programmes with financial expertise.
