SoftConstruct is looking for a Head of Assets Accounting Department.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the complete management and accounting of all assets, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations
  • Supervise the accurate recording, classification, and depreciation/amortization of assets
  • Ensure accurate valuation, revaluation, and impairment testing of assets in line with accounting standards
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of asset-related reports for management and external auditors
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes related to asset accounting, ensuring all asset transactions are properly recorded
  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, internal policies, and financial reporting standards
  • Develop and implement internal controls for the accurate tracking and management of the company’s assets
  • Lead internal and external audits related to asset accounting, providing necessary documentation and explanations
  • Identify potential risks related to asset management and implement strategies to mitigate those risks
  • Review and enhance processes related to asset tracking, reporting, and depreciation/amortization for greater efficiency
  • Support the implementation and integration of asset management and automation tools
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure that asset systems are optimized and integrated with other financial reporting systems
  • Lead and mentor the Asset Accounting team, ensuring the development and professional growth of team members
  • Provide regular training on asset accounting policies and best practices
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the department
  • Work closely with other finance teams, procurement, and operations to ensure proper management and accurate recording of all types of assets
  • Offer strategic input to senior management on asset optimization and capital expenditure decisions
  • Assist in large-scale projects related to asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and other lifecycle events
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • ACCA, CPA, or other relevant certifications are a plus
  • At least 4-5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or asset management, with 2-3 years in a leadership role.
  • Prior experience managing a team or department is required
  • Asset management expertise

  • AS-Accountant, Excel, proficiency
  • Fluency in Armenian and English
