Overview

OneMarketData is seeking a seasoned Implementation Lead Engineer to join our Implementation Team. In this role, you will lead the architecture, customization, and deployment of our proprietary OneTick-based financial products across AWS-hosted and client environments. You will design and optimize large-scale ETL frameworks, ensure high-performance distributed deployments, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence product strategy, mentor junior engineers, and drive successful integrations for high-profile financial institutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead architecture, customization, and deployment of OneTick-based solutions for high-profile clients.
  • Design advanced ETL frameworks and oversee performance tuning.
  • Serve as technical advisor to clients, guiding integration strategy and best practices.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, reviewing code and solutions.
  • Coordinate with product development to influence the roadmap based on client needs.
  • Troubleshoot high-complexity issues across distributed, containerized systems.
  • Work with onetick py - proprietary Python library built on top of our core product, timeseries database called onetick (syntax and principles similar to pandas and SQL).
  • Drive the group of developers within the team and support leadership with the establishment of processes.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years experience in data engineering, ideally with financial markets or time-series data.
  • Expert-level Python with proven track record in large-scale ETL/pipeline development.
  • Strong AWS, Kubernetes, and Airflow skills.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and performance optimization.
  • Excellent client-facing skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Prior mentoring or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with team processes and team management.
  • Experience in collaboration with other teams and streamlining cross-team processes.
