We are seeking a Data Engineer with a strong understanding of financial markets to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on ensuring data quality and integrity within our financial datasets. You will work closely with senior analysts to collect, validate, and clean data while also providing support to our clients. Responsibilities:
  • Data Collection and Validation: Collect and validate financial data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Data Collection and Validation: Collaborate with internal teams to streamline data collection processes and improve efficiency.
  • Data Processing and Delivery: Work on preparing and delivering new datasets (primary focus)
  • Data Processing and Delivery: Clean and preprocess raw data, including handling missing values and inconsistencies
  • Data Processing and Delivery: Develop scripts and automation to improve data quality and processing efficiency
  • Support and Issue Resolution: Handle data-related support requests and internal tickets

  • Support and Issue Resolution: Contribute to maintaining scalable data delivery pipelines
  • Financial Markets Knowledge: Stay updated on financial market trends, news, and regulatory developments.

  • Data Analysis Support: Assist in analyzing datasets to identify anomalies and inconsistencies

  • Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain clear documentation of data sources, workflows and quality checks

Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with data systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, including concepts such as trading, investment vehicles and market indices.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with Python and Linux(Bash)
  • English fluency(spoken and written)
  • Detail-oriented with a critical eye for data quality and accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
