Overview
TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is looking for a Junior Desk Support Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- MacOS computer setup & support for staff and student computers
- Windows 10 and 11 setup & support for staff computers
- Google Workspace user administration
- Repairing iMacs, Macbooks, or Microsoft-based desktop & laptop computers
- Configuration of networking, the operating system and security parameters
- Audio-Visual device basic troubleshooting (MIDI keyboards, digital cameras, tablets, projectors, sound, wireless microphones)
- Creating and managing users in Microsoft Active Directory (on-premises & Azure)
Required Qualifications:
- You are patient in the face of inevitable technical challenges
- You have perseverance and have innovative out-of-the-box thinking in finding technical solutions
- You have strong team-playing skills & a “can-do” attitude
- You are a strong advocate of continuous improvement, not being settled in one specific way of doing things, always willing to reconsider, learn & develop
- You are passionate as to “what good looks like”
- You exercise your judgment and always find the best way to provide a solution, with justification
- You have excellent written & verbal communication & presentation skills
- You have the ability to work dedicatedly towards deadlines
- You are comfortable with team-playing
- You are comfortable asking for help rather than persevering with tackling technical tasks alone
- You wish to contribute to TUMO’s development in terms of IT systems through improvement ideas
