Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Odds Compilation & Management: Set and adjust odds based on statistical analysis, market movement, and competitor pricing
  • Ability or knowledge of monitoring and managing sportsbook features
  • Live Trading: Monitor in-play odds and take necessary actions when detecting any suspicious activity
  • Liability & Risk Management: Track betting patterns, analyze exposure, and take necessary actions to mitigate financial risk
  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on sports events, player injuries, team news, and other relevant factors affecting odds
  • Customer Behavior Analysis: Identify sharp bettors and syndicates, applying necessary trading strategies to protect margins
  • Collaboration: Work closely with risk analysts, sportsbook managers, and other teams to optimize trading operations
  • Compliance & Integrity: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and responsible gambling policies
Nice To Have:
  • Experience in sportsbook operations or financial trading
  • Familiarity with automation tools for odds setting
  • Understanding of betting regulations in different jurisdictions
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (preferred but not always required)
  • Experience: Previous experience in sports betting, trading, or a financial trading environment is highly desirable
  • Analytical Skills: Strong numerical ability and attention to detail for odds setting and risk assessment
  • Sports Knowledge: In-depth understanding of various sports, betting markets, and betting behavior
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make quick and accurate decisions under pressure, especially in live trading
  • Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for working within a team-based environment
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, depending on the sports calendar
