Overview
We are looking for a skilled Load & Performance QA Engineer to own the performance, scalability, and stability validation of Cybereason’s end-to-end system. This role focuses on designing and executing performance tests that simulate real-world workloads across endpoint sensors, backend services, data pipelines, and user-facing APIs. You will ensure the system meets performance, capacity, and reliability requirements to deliver an exceptional user experience under normal and extreme conditions.
This position requires a minimum of 3 hours of daily overlap with our team in Japan to enable effective collaboration across time zones.

- Design, develop, and execute load, stress, and performance tests for complex distributed systems.
- Simulate real-world workloads across endpoint sensors, backend services, data pipelines, and APIs.
- Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize performance.
- Define and maintain performance benchmarks, KPIs, and SLAs.
- Develop automation frameworks for performance testing and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system behavior under high-scale conditions and provide actionable insights for scalability improvements.
- Document findings and provide recommendations for capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
- Proven experience in performance and load testing for large-scale systems.
- Strong knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or similar).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for test automation.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Testing security products, SaaS platforms, or high-scale data systems.
- Understanding of telemetry, event processing, and data retention systems.
- Awareness of performance implications of encryption, authentication, and authorization.
- Background in QA for cybersecurity or infrastructure-heavy products.
