Overview
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to calculate odds for various betting products
- Collaborate with the team to optimize odds calculation processes and ensure the accuracy of data
- Analyze large sets of statistical data to detect patterns and trends, improving the overall calculation process
- Continuously monitor and update mathematical models based on emerging trends in sports, events, and betting behaviors
- Work closely with software engineers to integrate mathematical models into betting platforms
- Create and maintain documentation of mathematical models, algorithms, and formulas used in odds calculations
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of odds prediction systems and algorithms
- Conduct statistical analysis and simulations to evaluate the performance of the odds models and recommend adjustments as necessary
- Stay updated with the latest trends and research in mathematics, statistics, and betting odds development
- Ensure the consistency and reliability of odds calculations across multiple platforms and sports
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of probability theory, statistics, and mathematical modeling
- Ability to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights using statistical tools
- Proficiency in mathematical software and tools (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python)
- Familiarity with betting industry concepts and odds calculation processes is a plus
- Ability to solve complex mathematical problems and develop effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all calculations and analysis
- Previous experience working with statistical models or in a mathematical research environment is an advantage, but not required
- In-depth knowledge of mathematical modeling, probability, and statistics
- Strong skills in data analysis and familiarity with statistical analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, R)
- Understanding of the betting industry, odds calculations, and related statistical methods is a plus
- Experience with simulation techniques and performance testing of mathematical models
- Ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts clearly and concisely
