Overview

We are looking for an M&E Project Manager to lead the delivery of mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects supporting Firebird AI’s AI data center. This role is responsible for managing the execution of critical facility systems, including electrical distribution, power generation, cooling infrastructure, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building services. You will coordinate contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of mechanical and electrical infrastructure projects across the AI data center campus.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate activities related to electrical systems, HVAC, chilled water systems, generators, UPS, switchgear, transformers, plumbing, fire suppression, and other M&E systems.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with design consultants, contractors, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical issues that may impact project execution.
  • Coordinate contractors and subcontractors on site.
  • Monitor contractor performance and project progress.
  • Support procurement and material delivery planning.
  • Manage RFIs, change orders, and technical clarifications.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Participate in inspections, testing, and acceptance procedures.
  • Support HSE requirements throughout project execution.
  • Prepare project status reports.
  • Monitor project costs and schedules.
  • Escalate risks, delays, and technical issues.
  • Support executive reporting.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience managing mechanical and electrical construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, generators, UPS, cooling, and critical facilities.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of commissioning and construction processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
