Viva (Viva Armenia CJSC) is looking for a MS SQL Server Database Administrator.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage databases
  • Perform backup and restore of databases
  • Check database logs on daily basis
  • Monitor scheduled existing jobs and ensure their successful processing
  • Manage user profiles and accesses
  • Manage database storage and forecast the database growth
  • Ensure implementation and planning of database optimization
  • Optimize database parameters
  • Review the tables and indexes location and sizing
  • Ensure an optimal data distribution and database load balancing
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a professional field (engineering or information technology preferred) or comparable experience
  • Work experience as a database administrator with an emphasis on database performance tuning and optimizations
  • Knowledge and experience in MS SQL Server databases, additional knowledge of other DBMS-s will be considered as big plus
  • Knowledge of SQL languages and execution plan optimizations
  • Knowledge of networking, Windows and UNIX operating systems
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple assignments within critical deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage change and strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner with internal and external contacts
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism, ethical behavior and confidentiality
