Overview

We are looking for a self-motivated engineer to work directly on the APIs and implement a domain-specific authentication layer. The position includes a sign-on bonus. Client: Our client is a global music and entertainment conglomerate headquartered in the US, with offices in over 60 countries. The company is undergoing a large-scale digital transformation focused on modernizing its financial operations, consolidating data, and optimizing processes. Project Overview: The client’s IT department comprises several interconnected domains. Our team provides tools and products that enable high-availability, cross-domain search across the client’s platforms and services. As part of this work, we develop an eventually consistent aggregation layer across multiple microservices, which clients can access via REST APIs, a web UI, and file exports.

Responsibilities:
  • Expand and enhance an existing REST API suite that enables high-availability, cross-domain search
  • Ensure API compatibility, consistency, and improved search capabilities while supporting data set expansion and evolving internal and external client requirements
  • Work closely with the IT Lead, Product Owner, and Business Analyst to refine and deliver sprint stories aligned with the agreed roadmap
  • Identify and implement improvements related to reliability, scalability, and performance
  • Write and maintain high-quality technical documentation, acting as an exemplar of best practices
  • Review and contribute to a high-quality codebase
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with Node.js
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with OpenSearch and/or Elasticsearch
Nice To Have:
  • Experience working with AWS services
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design
  • Experience with Python
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment
