Overview

This role is well suited to engineers who have built and maintained internal platforms, developer tooling, or shared services — rather than working exclusively in traditional infrastructure-focused DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering environments. You will work across application development, platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure to improve developer experience, increase automation, and support reliable service delivery at scale.
Project Overview:
The project is focused on evolving and enhancing an internal developer platform that supports hundreds of services running on AWS. The platform enables engineering teams to build, deploy, and operate applications efficiently through shared tools, automation, and cloud infrastructure capabilities. You will contribute to platform services, developer tooling, and infrastructure automation while implementing cloud infrastructure changes using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices. The project emphasizes scalability, reliability, security, and an improved developer experience across the engineering organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Enhance and maintain the internal developer platform and shared engineering services.
  • Develop automation, tooling, and platform capabilities using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
  • Deliver cloud infrastructure changes using Terraform and established infrastructure patterns.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and delivery teams to plan and implement platform improvements.
  • Test, validate, and deploy platform and infrastructure changes through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support operational excellence by applying AWS reliability, security, and performance best practices.
  • Contribute to platform standards, reusable components, and engineering documentation.
  • Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers throughout project delivery.
  • (Senior) Act as a technical reference point for platform, AWS, and Terraform decisions, setting the reusable patterns and standards other engineers build on.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years (Middle) / 6+ years (Senior) of software engineering experience building and maintaining production systems.
  • Strong programming experience in Python or Node.js (or a comparable language such as C#).
  • Experience writing clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
  • Proven hands-on experience delivering infrastructure using Terraform in production environments.
  • Strong AWS experience, including ECS, EKS, AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudFront, IAM, and Amazon S3, applying operational, reliability, and security best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD practices and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience building or maintaining internal platforms, developer tooling, or shared engineering services.
Nice To Have:
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock AgentCore or other agentic AI platform technologies.
  • Knowledge of platform engineering principles and developer-experience improvements.
  • Experience supporting large-scale cloud environments across multiple teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and contribute effectively within Agile delivery teams.
