Overview

We are looking for a QAA Lead to help establish and improve testing processes within an existing project. The main goal of this role is to organize testing workflows, introduce automation practices, and mentor the current Manual QA Lead, helping the team move toward a more mature and scalable QA process with a focus on building processes, transferring knowledge, and delivering initial results. This position focuses on establishing a clear and scalable QA process for an active project that is moving toward more structured and automated testing practices. The specialist in this role is expected to define a roadmap for QA improvements, deliver early process enhancements and automation results, and prepare the existing team to operate independently once the engagement is completed. Client: Our client is a large telecommunications company operating in Central Asia and providing mobile and digital services to millions of users. The company is actively investing in the modernization of its IT systems, cloud solutions, and digital platforms to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. Project Overview: The project involves working with enterprise scale systems, integrations, and high load environments within a fast paced and collaborative engineering culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and improve QA processes for product testing
  • Define a strategy for transitioning from manual testing to automated testing
  • Identify critical functionality suitable for automation and plan a phased rollout
  • Integrate test automation into existing manual workflows
  • Define CI CD testing practices, including which tests should run in automated builds and which tests are optional
  • Support implementation of automation and demonstrate initial results before project exit
  • Mentor and guide the current Manual QA Lead
  • Help organize and structure the QA team and processes
  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams
  • Contribute to improving test coverage, stability, and release quality
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in organizing and building QA processes
  • Strong understanding of test automation and CI CD pipelines
  • Strong hands on knowledge of Java, OOP principles, and TypeScript with Playwright
  • Experience integrating automation into existing manual QA environments
  • Experience defining test strategies and quality standards
  • Ability to mentor team members and transfer knowledge
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience in the telecom domain or understanding of how mobile operators work

  • Experience introducing AI tools or AI agents into testing or development processes
