Grand Hotel Yerevan is looking for a Receptionist.

Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet arriving guests and efficiently register them
  • Assign rooms based on guest preferences and availability
  • Verify guests' credit information and establish payment methods for accommodations
  • Collect payments, make change, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Assign a bellboy (security) to accompany guests to their rooms, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience
  • Accept and confirm reservations via telephone or email
  • Keep records of room availability, updating manually or using computer systems
  • Provide guests with information on available services and amenities within the hotel.Perform simple bookkeeping activities, including balancing cash accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of room availability and guests' accounts
  • Issue room keys and provide bellhops with escort instructions
  • Review accounts and charges with guests during the check-out process
  • Post charges for rooms, food, beverages, and other services to ledgers manually or using computers
  • Transmit and receive messages using telephones or telephone switchboards
  • Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff promptly when guests report issues
  • Provide wake-up calls for guests upon request
  • Ensure guests' privacy is maintained at all times
  • Report guests' complaints and other comments to management for resolution
  • Stay informed about all property facilities to effectively respond to guest inquiries
  • Provide airport pickup and transportation services for guests as required
  • Fill daily reports accurately, ensuring a comprehensive record of daily activities
Required Qualifications:
  • Fluent in Armenian, English and Russian languages to effectively communicate with a diverse range of guests
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, demonstrating a solid understanding of guest service principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with guests, colleagues, and management
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and reservation systems to handle bookings, check-ins, and other related tasks
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, ensuring a positive guest experience even during challenging circumstances
  • Willingness and flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the operational needs of the hotel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the specific amenities and services offered by the hotel
  • Knowledge of local attractions and points of interest
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with composure
