Overview

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework covering market risk, credit risk, liquidity risk, FX risk, operational risk, counterparty risk, and investment product risk (structured products, derivatives, hedging)
  • Proactively assess risks arising from trading/investment operations, portfolio exposures, structured deals, hedging strategies (e.g., forwards, options, swaps)
  • Define, monitor and report risk appetite metrics and key risk indicators (KRIs); recommend adjustments to business strategies considering risk exposures
  • Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, Value-at-Risk (VaR) modelling and other quantitative risk tools to assess resilience under adverse market conditions
  • Ensure regulatory compliance: track and interpret Armenian regulatory requirements (CBA standards) and international frameworks
  • Develop internal risk policies, procedures and control architecture tailored to the investment company’s business model and market environment
  • Collaborate with investment, trading, treasury and other business units to embed risk management into processes (pre-trade analysis, limit settings, approval process)
  • Present periodic risk reports to senior management and, where applicable, to the Board
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in banking, investment, brokerage, asset management, or the broader financial services sector
  • Advanced proficiency in analytical tools, including Excel (Advanced), SQL, Power BI (or similar data visualization tools), and Bloomberg
  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are a significant advantage
  • Fluency in Armenian, Russian, and English (both written and verbal)
