Overview
Responsibilities:
- Develop and own end-to-end test strategies for financial applications, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and security testing
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks (UI, API, backend services)
- Perform manual testing for edge cases, complex workflows, and new features
- Work closely with developers to identify, document, and resolve defects in a timely manner
- Ensure testing covers compliance, risk, and security requirements relevant to FinTech (PCI DSS, AML-related flows, data integrity, etc.)
- Analyze logs, monitor system performance, and help troubleshoot production issues
- Participate in code reviews for test-related changes, providing feedback on testability and quality
- Mentor QA team members and contribute to improving QA processes, standards, and tooling
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and enforce quality gates
Required Qualifications:
- 4–6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 2 years in a Senior role
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and SDLC/STLC
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Appium)
- Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger, or RestAssured
- Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Good understanding of SQL and ability to validate data integrity in complex databases
- Experience in FinTech, Banking, Payments, Trading, or other regulated industries is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Knowledge of performance and security testing concepts; experience with tools like JMeter, Gatling is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
