Overview

Lead the setup and configuration of X-Road core components, including Central Server, Security Servers, and Monitoring tools. Design and implement secure, scalable integration solutions between government systems and external partners using X-Road. Develop and deploy APIs, middleware, and custom adapters required for data exchange and service integration. Collaborate with solution architects to ensure compliance with Armenia’s Digital Architecture and global interoperability standards. Support deployment automation using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform. Manage configuration, monitoring, and scaling of X-Road environments. Contribute to performance optimization and security hardening of the digital infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in backend development, system integration, or infrastructure engineering
  • Proficiency in Java or other backend technologies relevant to X-Road
  • Solid understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, PKI, TLS/SSL, and digital signatures
  • Experience with Linux server environments, networking, and configuration
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar database systems
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with X-Road setup, configuration, or customization
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Ability to contribute to and maintain scalable design systems
  • Proactive, research-oriented mindset and a passion for improving digital public services
