SKILLEX is looking for a Senior/Mid Node.js Developer.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js with a focus on scalability and performance
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate front-end applications and third-party services
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements, propose solutions, and deliver high-quality software
  • Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while adhering to development best practices
  • Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges
  • Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to design schemas, write optimized queries, and ensure data consistency
  • Participate in code reviews to uphold high-quality coding standards
  • Continuously explore and adopt new tools, technologies, and development practices to drive improvement
Required Qualifications:
  • 3–7 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Node.js
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming
  • Experience with frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS for building RESTful APIs
  • Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and query optimization
  • Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows
  • Basic understanding of containerization tools like Docker (preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and debugging techniques
  • Experience writing unit tests with tools such as Jest or Mocha to ensure code reliability
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Understanding of software development best practices, includin clean code, modular design, and performance optimization
