Overview
The Specialist in Estimating and Contract Management will be responsible for maintaining the contract register, monitoring execution and payments, coordinating with the Legal Department, reviewing estimates and contractor proposals, liaising with the Procurement Department, and overseeing procurement activities for construction projects.
Requirements:
– Higher education in Law or Economics (construction-related background is an advantage).
– Proven work experience in construction projects.
– Experience with large-scale projects, preferably government-funded, is highly desirable.
– Strong knowledge of contract management, cost estimation, and procurement processes.
– Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Maintain and regularly update the contract register, ensuring transparency and traceability of all agreements.
- Monitor contract execution, track payment schedules, and ensure timely financial settlements with contractors and suppliers.
- Collaborate with the Legal Department to review contracts, ensure compliance with legal and internal requirements, and track claims, penalties, or amendments.
- Prepare, verify, and adjust cost estimates (BOQ, budget forms), ensuring accuracy and alignment with project documentation and technical specifications.
- Review suppliers’ and contractors’ commercial proposals, analyze pricing and technical offers, and recommend the most efficient options.
- Search for and evaluate alternative suppliers and contractors on the market to optimize costs and improve procurement efficiency.
- Work closely with the Procurement Department to coordinate tendering, procurement, and supplier selection processes.
- Track procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring compliance with schedules, budget limits, and quality standards.
- Prepare financial and analytical reports on contract performance, payments, and procurement status for management.
- Support project teams with contract-related documentation, correspondence, and reporting.
- Participate in negotiations with contractors and suppliers on contractual terms, payments, and variations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial discipline, and relevant legislation in all contractual and procurement activities.
