Overview

We’re seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA / Database Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server database management, performance tuning, and data replication who will be responsible for maintenance, performance, and integrity of our SQL Server databases in Azure environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server instances. Monitor and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Configure and monitor MS replication strategies like Always On and Transactional Replication in Azure.
  • Identify and resolve performance issues. Provide suggestions to optimize queries, indexes, and database schemas to enhance database performance.
  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies. Perform regular database backups and restore operations as needed.
  • Provide technical support for database-related issues. Troubleshoot and resolve database problems in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implement database solutions that meet business needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or Database Engineer.
  • Proficient in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Profiler, and other related tools.
  • Strong understanding of T-SQL, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Knowledge of database design, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Experience with SQL Server Always On, Replication, and High Availability solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
