Overview
The Business Analyst collaborates with business stakeholders and technical experts to gather, assess, and document requirements for customizing and configuring the client’s e-commerce platform. This includes creating user stories, test scenarios, and validation criteria, contributing to the success of the development and testing lifecycle. Project Overview: This role works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document requirements, create user stories, and define testing criteria for the client’s e-commerce application during development and testing phases. The position supports ensuring that the solution aligns with business needs and delivers value effectively.
- Gather and document business requirements using various elicitation techniques.
- Ensure requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with organizational goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases following agile methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams and stakeholders to refine, prioritize, and manage the product backlog.
- Participate actively in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and functional testing to validate platform compliance with requirements.
- Identify, escalate, and communicate potential issues, risks, or changes impacting project delivery.
- Provide training and support to business users to facilitate effective platform adoption.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in e-commerce and finance domains.
- Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms; experience with BigCommerce is a plus.
- Strong understanding of finance operations and business processes in addition to e-commerce platform customization capabilities.
- Proven expertise in crafting user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases using agile methodologies and relevant tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality outcomes on time and within budget.
