Overview

The Learning and Design Officer is a key strategic and operational role responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the non-clinical educational pillars of HFA’s Healthcare Leadership Program (HLP). The role emphasizes adult learning principles and culturally grounded approaches to leadership, community engagement, and quality improvement. You will work collaboratively with local and international faculty, mentors, and strategic partners to support rural doctors in becoming leaders of health systems change.

Responsibilities:
  • Co-develop the learning content and tools for the Leadership, Community Engagement, Quality & Research Training, and Medical Knowledge and Skills pillars.
  • Ensure curriculum relevance, innovation, and responsiveness to DL’s needs.
  • Integrate servant leadership, participatory community health strategies, and practical research skills into dynamic, outcomes-based curricula.
  • Support the project component by embedding training modules on project design, stakeholder mapping, facilitation, and impact measurement.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Public Health or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in adult education, curriculum design, or training program development—preferably in healthcare, public health, or community development.
  • Strong understanding of systems thinking, project-based learning, and participatory education.
  • Experience working in cross-cultural or community-based settings.
  • Excellent communication skills in Armenian and English (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Additional Information:

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience in healthcare leadership development or training healthcare professionals. 
  • Knowledge of servant leadership, health equity, and/or social determinants of health. 
  • Familiarity with organizational (e.g., Asana, Slack, etc.) and instructional design tools (e.g., Canva, Miro) and digital learning platforms.
