Description
The Market Research and Competitive Intelligence Specialist shall be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of the iGaming market, competitors, and Digitain’s product positioning.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure that Product Marketing, Sales, and leadership teams make decisions based on data and accurate market insights rather than assumptions.
This position shall provide clear and structured answers to key strategic questions, including where the company is strong, where it is weak, and how it differentiates in the market.
This position shall not encompass ownership of product strategy, direct sales execution, or campaign management.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct continuous research of the iGaming market (Sportsbook, Casino, CRM, Affiliate) using secondary and available primary data
  • Identify trends, innovations, and technological developments
  • Analyze regional specifics (e.g., Europe, Latin America, Africa, etc.)
  • Present market opportunities and risks
  • Analyze key competitors (platform providers, operators, content providers) using public sources, industry reports, and AI tools
  • Perform feature-by-feature comparative analysis
  • Track new product launches, features, and updates
  • Analyze Digitain’s products and capabilities
  • Identify and define Unique Selling Points and competitive advantages
  • Develop comparison frameworks and maintain a Competitive Landscape Dashboard
  • Support the Product Marketing team with clear “why us” messaging
  • Analyze operator needs and expectations (B2B)
  • Define and continuously update the Ideal Customer Profile
  • Perform segmentation by market, product, and customer type
  • Provide Product Marketing, Sales, and Product teams with relevant insights
  • Translate complex analysis into simple, actionable, and well-structured materials
  • Ensure Product Marketers are equipped with accurate positioning and supporting arguments
  • Market research reports (monthly / quarterly). Competitive comparison tables and SWOT analyses
  • Product strength mapping and Competitive Landscape Dashboard
  • ICP and segmentation documentation
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Higher education in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Active use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Grok, Claude, and similar
  • Ability to leverage AI for market research, competitive analysis, and summarizing large data sets
  • Automation mindset to improve efficiency
  • Experience in the iGaming industry (Sportsbook / Casino / CRM / Affiliate) is preferred
  • Structured thinking with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to present complex information in a simple and visually compelling way
  • Critical thinking and data-driven mindset
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactiveness and high sense of ownership
