Overview
We are looking for an Observability Developer to support behavioral monitoring, alert tuning, and auditability views for a production platform. You will help improve telemetry visibility, validate dashboard accuracy, and contribute to monitoring workflows aligned with compliance evidence needs.
Project Overview:
This project centers on an Auditability Platform that combines behavioral monitoring with formal governance evidence visibility. You will contribute to dashboards, alert validation, and observability data quality in an environment with audit and compliance requirements.
- Develop behavioral dashboards and alert conditions using New Relic and NRQL.
- Validate alert behavior and verify dashboard data accuracy.
- Work with behavioral monitoring signals including anomaly detection, drift detection, safety signals, and policy denials.
- Support auditability views that surface governance evidence for business and compliance consumption.
- Maintain observability domain segregation across technical monitoring in CloudWatch and New Relic, while preserving audit data within dedicated evidence repositories and SIEM platforms.
- Use Python for metrics emission, monitoring validation, and telemetry verification.
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to improve observability coverage and governance reporting.
- Support monitoring enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives across production environments.
- 3+ years of experience in observability engineering, monitoring engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with New Relic and NRQL for dashboard development and alert condition management.
- Experience with behavioral or anomaly monitoring and alert tuning based on production telemetry.
- Experience working in environments with formal audit, governance, or compliance evidence requirements.
- Experience with behavioral monitoring signals including anomaly detection, drift detection, safety signals, and policy denials.
- Experience validating alert behavior and verifying dashboard data accuracy.
- Experience using Python for metrics emission, telemetry validation, and automation tasks.
- Understanding of monitoring architectures and observability best practices.
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams in enterprise environments.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Experience with anomaly detection or drift detection techniques for agent telemetry.
- Experience validating PII redaction within traces and monitoring data displayed through observability dashboards.
- Experience working with Cedar policy decisions or Contract Policy Engine denial events as monitoring inputs.
- Experience mapping monitoring controls to enterprise security, governance, or compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with SIEM platforms and governance focused reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud based observability and monitoring ecosystems.
