Overview
TUMO Center for Creative Technologies is looking for a (Part-Time) English-Armenian Translator/Editor.
Responsibilities:
- Translate educational content between Armenian and English, ensuring accuracy and cultural sensitivity
- Edit and proofread translated materials to deliver high-quality, error-free content that meets TUMO’s standards and resonates with the target audience
- Provide text edits and suggestions to improve accessibility and clarity of the content
- Collaborate with content creators and video production teams to ensure translations align with video script formats and project requirements
- Apply updates and revisions to texts for self-learning activities and workshops on TUMO's platform or other necessary platforms, maintaining original style and format
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of translations
- Maintain and update a database of translation glossaries and style guides for current and future projects
- Perform voiceover or talking head roles if required (optional)
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Native Armenian speaker
- Strong proficiency in English
- Previous experience in English-Armenian translation
- Experience in translating educational content or related materials
- Experience with voiceovers is a plus
