Overview

We are seeking a Platform Architect to lead the migration of an existing on-premises Kubernetes platform to the LightOps platform, supporting subsea production and monitoring use cases across microservices, event-driven processing, graph-based modeling and time-series ingestion services.

Responsibilities:
  • Familiarize with the current platform landscape and existing microservices architecture
  • Review and validate the target LightOps architecture
  • Assess and refine the migration strategy and resource requirements
  • Identify risks and gaps across the migration scope
  • Define migration workstreams and establish a migration roadmap with sequencing
  • Support the evaluation and selection of additional consultants
  • Influence the composition and structure of the delivery team
  • Guide platform adoption across Kubernetes modernization initiatives
  • Provide architectural direction for service mesh implementation given its high-risk profile
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering with strong expertise in Kubernetes, Helm and GitOps
  • Proficiency in ArgoCD and Kubernetes security practices across multi-service platform migrations
  • Hands-on expertise in Istio including gateway management, authorization policies and traffic routing
  • Background in service-to-service communication within Service Mesh environments
  • Expertise in HashiCorp Vault and secret management practices
  • Knowledge of OIDC/OAuth2 and zero-trust architectures
  • Experience leading platform adoption programs, Kubernetes modernization initiatives and complex application migrations
