The Right Side Human Rights Defender NGO has a vacant position of Public Relations and Communication Specialist.

Responsibilities:
  • Write, edit, proofread, and translate text materials on various topics, and articles for the official website of the organization, and update the content of the website;
  • Manage the organization’s social media pages;
  • Create shareable content to establish appropriate collaborative relationships and expand
the organization’s mission;
  • Prepare press releases, media information, announcements, as well as the content of posters and speeches;
  • Establish cooperative relations with other organizations, as well as with the media, to cover the organization’s news and other initiatives;
  • Monitor media coverage and social media discussions about the organization’s activities;
  • Establish external relations, and communication, and conduct negotiations;
  • Participate in the development and launch of the organization’s events and initiatives, preparing newsletters about them;
  • Manage existing means of internal communication (summaries, newsletters, e-mails,
memos, announcements, etc.);
  • Cooperation with the team, support for the organization’s development, and implementation of programs aimed at providing services;
  • According to the need and in defined cases, participates, and represents the activities of
the organization on local and international platforms;
  • Follow and implement the manager’s assignments, correct and timely implementation of duties;
  • Participate in other meetings of the staff and the organization, prepare, and present the reports;
  • Help the graphic designer with content;
  • Perform other work related to the position arising from the organization’s strategic plan, statutory goals, and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
  • Higher education in philology, journalism, or other related profession, professional work experience of at least 2 years;
  • Proficiency in digital media tools, ability to effectively present information in written form;
  • Excellent knowledge of Armenian and English languages, knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage;
  • Knowledge of MC Office;
  • High level of interpersonal relations, experience of working with LGBTIQ people, gender sensitivity, telephone management, and office etiquette skills;
  • Necessary knowledge of legal acts related to one’s powers, as well as the ability to orient oneself in different situations;
  • Work planning skills;
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks/goals properly and within set deadlines.
