We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing DE team and help us build our new ELT architecture from the ground up.
You will work with dbt, Fivetran, Snowflake, Airflow, GitHub, and modern CI/CD & IAC tools to design, develop, test, deploy, and support data pipelines and models. You will collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, business stakeholders, and software vendors to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility.

Position requires 4 hours overlap with EST timezone for effective collaboration.
Project Overview:

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support data pipelines and models using dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, Fivetran, and SNP Glue.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and issues.
  • Implement data quality checks and tests using dbt and GitHub.
  • Document and present on data pipeline and model logic, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Contribute to and improve data engineering best practices and standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Self-starter and problem-solver capable of developing a production ready solution independently and with limited direction.
  • Advanced experience with SQL, dbt Cloud, GitHub, Airflow, and Snowflake.
  • Proficient in Fivetran and modern CI/CD & IAC tools.
  • Experience with Python or similar language (Java, Scala, Javascript, C++).
  • Experience with the Unix command line and BASH scripting.
Nice To Have:
  • Experience with Census reverse ETL tool, retail financial data, SNP Glue, and SAP Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
